Kings really outsold this time but y’all can stay pressed. I see y’all trying to say this album was trash even though it’s one of the best albums ever, but go off ig 🤠🤠

This album seems simple on the surface, but the concept is quite sophisticated. It works as a whole piece of work, relying primarily on the juxtaposition of reality of the waking life and the world of dreams. When “Regular” in both the English and Korean versions is analyzed side-by-side in their lyrical composition (and the MVs), you see a vivid message that can be lost when only focusing on one detail at a time; the Korean version using the reality of wanting “the dream” and the strive to obtain it versus the English version which emulates immersing oneself in the dream and allowing the imagination to run wild within. This is essentially how the entire album functions and tells a story, where you follow NCT 127 as they describe wishes and aspirations and then midway through the album transition into a dream world where they can bring those desires to “life”. Also, examining further, the primary single “Regular” can be seen as how NCT 127 can take the same song and distort its context, meaning, and marketing based on which language and region they choose to release a song without changing the essential sound of the song; thus, this is a way they are “flexing” their abilities and flexibility to meet the demands of any region. This is an album that should not be underestimated! It screams loudly with Western influence but subtly hides a intricately spun web of smart concepts...this is NCT 127 telling the world they are just getting started.

everyone saying it sounds ‘ generic, ‘ that’s kind of the point of the english version? because it’s the irregular version of the song, where they’ve reached they’re goal. the korean version is the regular version, the reality.
  • A great album from top to bottom.

Every single song is a bop fite me 😤 Most people judge this WHOLE album from Regular English version alone? LOL y’all thought wrong this album is actually so good. My personal favorite is My Van because of how DEEP he lyrics are like that’s how hard working they are guys they don’t have it easy. Also Regular Korean version has different lyrics than the English and talk less about money and more about the group so 🤷‍♀️ And the concept is so smart, the way they transitioned from “Regular” to “Irregular” is just amazing 😩👏 My verdict: stan NCT 127

I listened to this album because I heard a lot of people hyping it up, but it didn’t live up to my expectations. The songs on the album are super generic and the album is mediocre at best. I hope they improve and come out with better music in the future.
